To use waste vegetable oil as a fuel is illegal in Belgium.
To use straight vegetable oil is legal and tax free, as long as you buy it from one of the registered oil producers. To use vegetable oil from any other source is illegal.
I have a list of 11 registered oil producers, but the list says it is not exhaustive. They are farmers and cooperatives of farmers. If you'd like a copy of the list, in PDF format, please contact me.
Purpose of this blog
While researching the laws regarding vegetable oil as fuel in europe it has become obvious that this information is quite hard to find. We have decided it would be a good idea to show as much of the information that we find as we can all on the same page. We also invite anyone who knows anything about these laws to post comments. This is with regards to using the oil, collecting waste oil and carrying oil in and out of countries.

I want to know what regulations Germany has for the use of WVO. They use it for over 10 years to drive their diesel cars. Rudolf Diesel was a German born inventor
